Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
50g Dairy Farmers Unsalted Butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2000g old potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
freshly grated nutmeg, to taste
125g gruyere or Emmenthal cheese, grated
125g Dairy Farmers Shredded Tasty Cheddar
750ml Dairy Farmers Cooking Cream
fresh herbs, for garnish (optional)
Method
- Melt the butter and garlic together. Brush a 1/2 gastronorm pan or individual gratin dishes with the butter mixture.
- Arrange potato slices in layers in the pan, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper and nutmeg and sprinkling with a little of the Dairy Farmers shredded tasty cheddar and a drizzle of the Dairy Farmers Cooking Cream. Finish with cheese and cream on top
- Cover with foil and bake at 160°C for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for a further 40-50 minutes until tender and golden.
- Portion into individual dishes. Garnish with herbs, if using.
